Volunteer & Employment Opportunities
"...we maintain that the strength of the Girl Scout movement rests in the voluntary leadership of its adult members."
— Constitution of GSUSA
The Girl/Adult Partnership is integral to the Girl Scout experience. All Girl Scout adults bring special talents and expertise that enrich the Girl Scout program for girls. Every volunteer and staff position is open to men as well as women; however, the female role model is essential in carrying out the purpose of Girl Scouting.
Girl Scout volunteers generously offer their time, skills and experience with no monetary compensation. Their greatest reward comes from the appreciation of the girls and adults with whom they work, and from the extensive training and experience they receive from the Girl Scout organization.
The Girl Scout council recognizes the outstanding commitment and achievement of Girl Scout adult volunteers through its annual Adult Awards program.
