Reserving a Council-owned Campsite (Overnight)

  • Check the Schedule at a Glance at left. Spaces with an "x" are already reserved; spaces that are blacked out are not available. Reservation requests must be received no later than 10 working days in advance.
  • Once you select a date and location, complete the "Interactive Camping/Tripping Form for 1-2 Days" and submit it to the Program Department.
  • After the application has been posted to the council's master schedule, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the applicant. The reservation fee and due date will be indicated in the confirmation.

It is the applicant's responsibility to forward a copy of the application and confirmation to their Service Unit Consultant or Membership Manager to review training credentials.

Camping Schedules will be available for sign up according to the following schedule.

  • Camping Date: Sept. 1-Nov. 30; Submit application on or after Aug. 1
  • Camping Date: Dec. 1-March 31; Submit application on or after Nov. 1
  • Camping Date: April 1-Aug.30; Submit application on or after March 1
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications cannot be taken over the telephone. Sites cannot be secured without a completed application. You will be notified if your date or location selection is not available. Payment is expected within 2 weeks after receipt of the confirmation.

Day Use

Council-owned properties may be reserved for daytime use by submitting the "Interactive Camping/Tripping Form for 1-2 Days" (Day Use Section). Groups may arrive no earlier than 9 a.m. and must depart prior to 9 p.m. The Program Center, cabins and lodges may not be reserved for daytime use. In the case of inclement weather, groups may seek shelter in any unoccupied open shelter (Jane H. Gurney Pavilion or Yurt Colony Shelter at Greene Wood; Brownie Corral Shelter at River Trails).

Reservation requests for all property use requests must be received no later than 10 working days in advance.
