Family Partners Campaign

Make a Donation

Family Partners is the fund-raising initiative that provides essential financial support for the many Girl Scout programs in our council. When your daughter registers to be a Girl Scout each year, the $10 fee you pay goes directly to Girl Scouts of the USA in New York, where it provides critically important funding for the national organization. This leaves funding for Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana - Lisle Service Center programming dependent upon fall product and cookie sales as well as donations. This is where your generosity is needed.

Your donation goes directly to pay for the local programs and services from which your daughter directly benefits. Your contribution subsidizes camp and activity fees in order to keep Girl Scouting safe and affordable for all girls. The money you donate goes not only to provide FUNdships and programming for all girls, but even for the most basic of services like uniforms and camp fees for the underprivileged, who might benefit from Girl Scouting the most. Leader training, camp facility maintenance, and programming costs all are funded by gifts. Bottom line, a donation of $10, $20 or $30 will help to keep Girl Scout tradition and values alive for your daughter and those that follow.

Please consider sharing with the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. In your registration packet, refer to the Family Partners contribution form called MONEY MATTERS. There you can consider making a tax-deductible donation. Together we can we can make a difference in the lives of our daughters and our community.

Your gift makes a difference...

Family Partners contributions ensure quality. Your gift helps maintain the standards and provide the services that make our Girl Scout council the place where girls build courage, confidence and character.

  • Financial Aid for Girls: Girl Scout FUNdships help individual girls participate in Girl Scouting by providing uniforms or other supplies.
  • Resources for Leaders: Publications, materials, training, resource centers and equipment loans help leaders provide a quality Girl Scout experience for every girl, everywhere.
  • Program Subsidies and Property Improvements: Girls and leaders enjoy a variety of outdoor experiences, workshops and trainings at council-owned or leased facilities. Fees for camp and program activities cover only a portion of the actual cost; the council subsidizes this cost to ensure both quality and affordability.
  • Insurance: Risk reduction and safety management efforts ensure the safety and security of our girls, leaders and resources. The largest cost is insurance - liability, property and vehicle.
  • Endowment for the future: To ensure future financial well being, principal (cash, property, appreciated assets) is placed in a fund — not spent or sold — but used to generate income, usually in the form of interest.
