You can help make a difference in the lives of girls!

Money Matters in Girl Scouting. Because the Girl Scout council does not receive any portion of the $10 Girl Scout membership dues paid to Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), and since the council's portion of program sales income (girl-generated) does not provide all the necessary resources to support the diverse needs and interests of a rapidly growing membership, money to support local Girl Scout program must be secured from other sources.

The high costs of providing a safe, protected environment in which girls learn and grow are often forgotten -- insurance, camp maintenance, legal fees, licensing, accessibility for the physically challenged, leader training, and financial aid for girls who need it. Securing cash and in-kind gifts to support the council's operations and future financial security is imperative.

Funding for Girl Scouts in this council is provided by income generated from annual program sales, the Family Partners annual campaign, planned giving, Tributes & Memorials and donations from friends, foundations, businesses and United Ways throughout the communities we serve. Like all other council activities, fund development programs are designed, planned and executed by volunteers.
